Seascape was the kind of place and experience we had hoped for. When we walked in the door we immediately felt at home and relaxed. We loved the ambiance and the care that Diana has decorated her condo. The pottery and artwork lend so much local atmosphere. The unit was clean and ready to go for us. Housekeeping during our stay was good. Both bedrooms were very comfortable. The whole unit is open and airy, which is perfect for the beach front location, and we enjoyed listening to the ocean and breeze in the palms at night. We never needed the A/C.
At The Condo – Both of us were looking for a very relaxing experience. We have both traveled the Yucatan and have done sightseeing previously. Neither of us was really interested in all the tourista things to do between Cancun and Tulum. My friend spent a lot of time snorkeling right out the door in Half Moon Bay and in the nearby lagoon. She saw a lot of really cool sealife. My mobility prevents my access to the ocean, but enjoyed the pool instead. The ocean was a little rough most of our stay, and we had some storms, which frankly I loved. I had similar weather in February last time I visited the Yucatan.
We enjoyed cooking many of our meals and the kitchen had what we needed, but we did enjoy some of the local restaurants which we all good. Akumal was friendly, and local people very nice. Like the rest of the Maya coast, has been discovered and is getting busy compared to my first visit 20 years ago. But everywhere is. I would definitely recommend Diana’s Seascape to my friends, and really hope to come back again.
